Food Distribution for beggar children and Street Children
Food distribution for the street children has been carried out regularly throughout the year 2008. Though we have been carrying out the food distribution at the scheduled times, we have also been keeping a watch for needy children who may need immediate attention.
- Food packets are distributed through mobile van at various places in city such as railway stations, bus stands, and various worship places to beggars, blinds, physically challenged, old persons etc. Since, 2008 we have distributed 12000 ( Twelve Thousand) food packets till today.
- In various schools of nearby our city, we provide lunch to the students.
- Monthly Ration Support- Orphan students and students from widows, divorcee, below poverty line families etc. The ration includes Wheat, Rice, Pulses, Sugar, Oil, Pohe, Rava etc.
- Ration support to non-grantable girls & boys hostels.
Warm Cloth distribution for beggar children and street children
We carried out a used clothes collection drive in which people sent across used clothes and we also arranged to pick from places when people could not come themselves to hand over. Since small children's warm clothes weren't available in sufficient quantity, we purchased the same and distributed. Clothes were distributed among over 3000 adults and over 5000 children.
- In winter season, we distribute clothes, blankets etc. through mobile van at various places in city such as railway stations, bus stands, and various worship places to beggars, blinds, physically challenged, old persons etc.
- Through our various programmes, clothes are distributed to men, women, male and female children.
- In various schools of nearby city, we distribute school uniforms & civil dresses to the students.
- We distribute sarees to the widows, divorcees and women from BPL families, through various programmes.
- Since, 2008 we have distributed 9000 (Nine thousand) clothes till today.
The Impact
Funds will be used for supplies and materials necessary for conducting vegetarian food preparation workshops in Bilimora, Gujarat.
When children go to school, they attend from early morning till late afternoon, and they have no access to food while classes are in session. The schools themselves are all volunteer-run, and there are virtually no local or government resources to invest in a food program for children like the ones that our students.
We will be giving help to children who need and appreciate it, and believe that we can really make a difference to the leaving/education of children in Bilimora, Gujarat.
